Joel Selvin

San Francsico Bay Area native Joel Selvin is one of the most widely read and respected music journalists and critics in the world. Selvin wrote a weekly column on popular music in the San Francisco Chronicle from 1972 to 2009, contributed interviews with musical artists to Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles Times, Billboard, and Melody Maker, and is the author of many books on various aspects of pop and rhythm and blues, including the New York Times best-seller, “Red: My Uncensored Life In Rock” with Sammy Hagar, and “Here Comes The Night”, the story of legendary record producer Bert Berns.
